Fresh View...

A few weeks back, I had a chance to go to Moscow. I did not plan to step into the heart of the defunct USSR. I walked around the Kremlin since I had only one afternoon to explore that area. Interestingly, I had my most expensive McDonald's meal here (approximately SGD11 for a Big Mac meal). I don't know why I had the impression that this was liked China before the great awakening. Well, judging from the cost of that meal... it has woken up quite a bit and the western influence is all over. One of the mornings, I went down to the 24-hour coffee place to have my breakfast and had the best time sharing a table with a Korean girl and a pair of Muscovites violinists. They spoke great english with their individual accents and was so happy to share about life in Moscow's biggest conservatory. The whole experience reminded me of my younger days traveling. In some way, I miss the traveling days.
