Charity... Works Of Mercy...

Tonight I am doing some research on Charity so that I can deliver a quick lesson on this topic during the coming Friday Catechism lesson. Over the years, my lessons have become more interesting and also interactive. Wonder what will it be liked this week. Anyhow, I picked up on Works of Mercy and here they are:

Corporal works of mercy:
--To feed the hungry;
--To give drink to the thirsty;
--To clothe the naked;
--To harbor the harborless;
--To visit the sick;
--To ransom the captive;
--To bury the dead.


Spiritual works of mercy:
--To instruct the ignorant;
--To counsel the doubtful;
--To admonish sinners;
--To bear wrongs patiently;
--To forgive offenses willingly;
--To comfort the afflicted;
--To pray for the living and the dead.

Quite interesting... I learn something every time... You will see me working on these 14 things in the coming months.

I am the resurrection!

Yesterday was quite a special day for me in church. After more than of successfully deferring the solo opportunity during mass, I decided to take the chance and try it. A big part of it was I wanted my daugther to see me doing this without fear. It all turned out pretty well. Just the 4th verse in the song. "I am the resurrection, I am the life, If you believe in me, eventhough you die, you will live forever!" Felt great after that! Praise the LORD as he had kept me in perfect timing.
