Competition - Who says it too young to start?

Chloe entered her first regatta in Feburary and was quickly taken into the competitive world. She did not finished the 2nd & 3rd races on the first day. One of her schoolmates made a protest against her... actually I believe the mom did. Here I was teaching my daughter that winning is only good if you know that you had really crossed the finish line before everyone else... and so she should report herself to the officials after the race to set the scores right! What I forgot to tell her that others maybe as keen to correct the error so that they can get the hands on those trophies! Chloe did not seem to be affected by the protest or that someone else got the trophy... She is only 9 years old after all!... these carefree days! :-)
